Sealed rules
A CAST token's fees, limits and every future change to them are written into its contract before the first buy. Nobody can edit them afterwards, including the creator and CAST.
What gets sealed
Six rules, each a schedule over time:
| Rule | What it does | Limit |
|---|---|---|
| Bot Tax | An extra fee on buys right after launch. | At most 50%, and 0% within 24 hours |
| Buy fee | A fee on every buy. | 25% during Shield, 10% after |
| Sell fee | A fee on every sell. Can follow Hold Streak instead of time. | 25% during Shield, 10% after. 10% at all times if it follows Hold Streak |
| Max wallet | The most one wallet may hold, as a share of supply. | Never below 0.5% |
| Holder share | How much of the creator's 80% of each fee goes to holders. | Up to 100% |
| Burn share | How much of the creator's 80% of each fee is burned. | Up to 100%, with holder share |
And five settings:
- Shield window: how long the strictest limits may apply, at most 24 hours.
- End date: when every time-based rule freezes at its last value, at most 10 years out.
- Bot Tax holder share: how much of Bot Tax's 80% goes to holders. The rest goes to the creator.
- Creator allocation: tokens the creator keeps, up to 10% of supply.
- Creator lock: how long those tokens stay locked, at most 10 years.
The token's paired asset is fixed at launch too, and so is its bonding curve, including its graduation target. CAST's pair list only decides what new launches can choose; it can't change a launched token's pair or curve, or close its pool.
A token's image and links are not sealed. They live on CAST, not in the contract, and its creator can change them at any time.
Rules are schedules
A rule is not one number. It's a list of up to eight breakpoints, each a time and a value, and the first one is always at launch. Between breakpoints a rule either holds its value and then steps down, or moves in a straight line to the next one. The token computes the value for any second from that list.
Because the whole schedule is sealed, you can see today exactly what a token will charge next week. Every token page draws the full timeline for each rule.
Time or Hold Streak
Most rules move with time since launch, which stops counting at the end date. The sell fee can instead move with each seller's Hold Streak, so people who have held longer pay less when they sell. No other rule can follow Hold Streak.
No owner key
A CAST token has no admin. owner() always returns the zero address, and the contract has no function to change a rule, mint more tokens, pause trading, block a wallet or move anyone's funds. There is nothing to renounce, because there was never an owner to begin with.
Liquidity locked forever
A token starts on its bonding curve, with no pool liquidity at all. What buyers pay in stays with the Fee Hook for the curve, and only leaves when people sell back to the curve.
When the curve has raised its target, the token graduates: the Fee Hook puts everything the curve raised and the rest of the tokens for sale into one full-range Uniswap v4 position, at exactly the curve's final price. From then on that position is locked forever. The Fee Hook refuses every request to remove liquidity, and every request to add it, from anyone. The position it adds at graduation is the only liquidity a CAST pool ever has.
The paired asset only leaves the pool when people sell. The pool's 0.3% trading fee is never collected either, so it stays in the pool and deepens it.

Call
getRuleSet()on the token. It returns every schedule exactly as the token page shows it.Recompute the grade
CallgradeOf(token)on the Rulebook. It scores the sealed rules on-chain, so nobody can fake a grade. See Reading token state for code.Check the curve
Callcurves(token)on the Fee Hook. It returns the curve's target, how much it has raised and whether the token has graduated. See Curve progress.
