FAQ
Short answers to common questions.
Basics
What does “sealed” mean?
Every fee, limit and scheduled change is written into the token's contract when it launches. The contract has no function to edit them, and owner() returns the zero address, so neither the creator nor CAST can change anything later.
Is this real money?
Yes. CAST runs on Robinhood Chain mainnet, so tokens, ETH, USDG and stock tokens here have real value and every trade is final.
What chain is CAST on?
Robinhood Chain. Every pool is a Uniswap v4 pool that pairs the token with one asset: ETH, USDG or a stock token.
Do I need an account?
No. Connect a browser wallet and you can trade, launch and collect rewards. There is no sign-up. Right after you connect, CAST asks you to sign in with a free signature that starts “Sign in to CAST”. You don't need it to trade. It's needed to make or save rule templates, and it lets you edit your token's image and links without signing each change. It lasts 30 days.
What is graduation?
Every CAST token starts on a bonding curve run by the Fee Hook, where the price rises as people buy. Once the curve has raised its graduation target, about $10,000 of the paired asset (4.2 ETH or 10,000 USDG, for example), the token graduates in that same transaction: everything the curve raised and the rest of the tokens go into its Uniswap v4 pool at the curve's final price, locked forever. From then on it trades in the pool.
What does “almost graduated” mean?
The token's bonding curve has raised at least half of its graduation target. Explore has filters for tokens that are almost graduated and for tokens that have graduated, and every token page shows how far along its curve is.
Buying and selling
Who pays the Bot Tax?
Everyone who buys while it lasts, not only bots. It can be up to 50% and must fall to 0% within 24 hours of launch. The Fee Clock on each token page shows exactly what a buy costs right now.
Why did my sell cost more than I expected?
Your sell fee may depend on your Hold Streak, and selling any amount restarts it. Selling through another app also skips the discount. The trade panel shows your exact sell fee before you confirm.
How do holders earn?
Part of every fee is paid to holders in the token's paired asset, in proportion to their balance, and streamed out within 24 hours of the latest deposit. You collect it from your profile whenever you like.
Can I trade CAST tokens on Uniswap?
Yes, the pools are Uniswap v4 pools. The sealed fees are still charged, but only the CAST Router applies your Hold Streak discount. While a token's max wallet applies, only the CAST Router can buy it; selling through other apps always works, and any app can buy once the cap lifts. Until a token graduates, other apps must trade it with a fixed amount in.
Is trading on the curve different?
The sealed rules are exactly the same: Bot Tax, fees, burn share, max wallet and Hold Streak. The only difference is that curve trades don't pay the 0.3% pool fee, which starts after graduation.
Paired assets
What can a token be paired with?
Any asset on CAST's approved pair list. That's ETH, USDG (Paxos's dollar stablecoin) and four of Robinhood's stock tokens: AAPL, NVDA, TSLA and SPY. The creator picks one at launch and it can't change. You buy with it, and fees, holder rewards and sells are paid in it.
How does CAST compare tokens with different pairs?
In dollars. Token pages show price and market cap in dollars, converted at the paired asset's current price, and Explore, site totals and your profile show dollar values too. They use live prices: ETH from CoinGecko, USDG at $1 and stocks from Robinhood's price feed. You still pay and receive the paired asset.
What happens to my token if CAST closes its pair?
Nothing. Closing a pair only stops new launches with it. Tokens already paired with it keep trading as before, and the pair list can't touch a launched token.
Launching
How much does a launch cost?
Only gas. CAST earns its 20% share of fees from trading, not from launching.
Can I change my rules after launch?
No. Not the fees, not the schedule, not the split. Check the summary carefully before you sign.
Do I need to add liquidity?
No, and nobody can. Every token for sale starts on the bonding curve, and at graduation the Fee Hook puts what the curve raised and the rest of the tokens into the pool itself, locked forever. You don't provide any of the paired asset unless you want to make the first buy.
What if my token never graduates?
It keeps trading on its bonding curve, with the same sealed rules, for as long as people trade it. It just never moves into a pool. A tight max wallet makes graduation slower, because it takes more wallets to raise the target.
How do I get paid as a creator?
Your share of fees builds up in your token's paired asset. Collect it from the Creator fees tab on your profile at any time.
Can I add or change my token's image and links?
Yes, at launch or any time after. Open the token page or the Launches tab on your profile and choose Edit image and links. Only the wallet that launched the token can do it. If you're signed in with that wallet, saving needs nothing more. If not, your wallet signs the change for free, with no transaction.
Why doesn't my wallet show my token's image?
Wallets choose their own logo sources. Most show images from token lists or data providers, not from the token contract. CAST publishes a token list at /tokenlist.json that apps can import, but each wallet decides whether to use it.
Safety
Can the liquidity be pulled?
No. Before graduation there's no pool liquidity: the curve keeps what it raised, and that only leaves when people sell back to it. At graduation it all goes into one pool position the Fee Hook refuses to let anyone remove, including the creator and CAST. The paired asset only leaves the pool when people sell.
What is the fairness grade?
A score from A to F that the Rulebook contract computes from the sealed rules: how high fees stay, how fast they ease, how much can reach the creator, and whether the creator's tokens are locked.
Is a grade A token safe to buy?
A grade judges the rules, not the token. Prices can still fall to zero.
Have the contracts been audited?
Not yet. An external audit is planned before mainnet.
